Laurie Holloway

District Ecosystem Manager, Regional Services, Department of Fisheries Forestry and Agriculture, Government of NL

Laurie graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry and Environmental Management and a Master of Science in Forestry.

Laurie moved back to Newfoundland to work with the Provincial Government. She has worked at the Provincial tree nursery, several District offices, Forest Protection Center and is currently a District Ecosystem Manager with Regional Services, Fisheries Forestry and Agriculture. She resides in Gander with her husband and two girls. Most of Laurie’s career has been in forest ecosystem management and in the last number of years she has also worked with wildfire and has trained to become a Wildfire Behaviour Analyst.

With a love for the outdoors when not at work you can be sure to find her with her family camping or boating in the summer or on a snowmobile or skis in the winter.
